2012 Summer Program July 8 - July 28
Summer Program Overview and Application The coeducational Linden Hill Summer Program provides a balance of academic work and traditional camp experiences to participant's ages 7-17. The program is specifically for campers with learning differences and attention issues. The program focus is to provide each camper with an exceptionally fun, exciting summer, while also providing academic summer support. The weekday is built upon a block schedule. Two morning blocks support the academic classes, with the third morning block being an enrichment period. After lunch, the remainder of the day is recreational. Activity offerings in athletics, fine arts, performing arts, and multi-media are offered everyday. Each camper participates in each, everyday. This gives campers the opportunity to participate in general interest areas, as well as opportunity to experience something new. On Wednesday all campers go to the lake for a day of water activities and fun. Weekends are 100% recreational and 100% fun! Beginning on Friday at 10:30 AM, open weekend starts. Activities such as mini-golf, hiking, camping, canoeing, swimming, movies, and fishing are some of the general offerings. Based on a traditional camp model, we want campers to experience nature and the community they are living in for three weeks - with the hopeful intent they create cherished memories of summers on the Hill.
