The soccer season ended triumphantly as the Varsity boys defeated the Greenwood School at Greenwood’s Annual Soccer Tournament clinching 1st place for the third year in a row! Coach Russell’s team played with heart, determination, good sportsmanship, and control to be seeded first after the opening day of the tournament.

Goals from Saeed, Chris K., Chris C., Nicolas, and Zayd added to the victories. On day two, teamwork prevailed in the semi-finals for a win over Hilltop School. The finals were tense as the two evenly matched teams played hard. A penalty shot from Chris C. and stellar goal tending from Cooper highlighted the game. The boys ended their regular season with 10 wins, 1 loss and 1 tie, certainly a season to be proud of but more important were the comments from other teams about the sportsmanship the boys demonstrated around their play!
