On Monday, Linden Hill celebrated a great opening for the new school year of 2011-12. The bright clear skies echoed the happy spirits on campus as teachers and staff assembled to welcome new and returning students and families. Returning boys excitedly caught up on stories of summer escapades while helping new students become acquainted with the campus and favorite activities. . Everyone pitched in to help the boys unpack in their rooms. Parents and advisers were able to touch base and share information over a lovely lunch buffet. Mr. McDaniel gave the annual welcome in the study hall so the community could introduce its new members. This year we are proud to have new students join us from New York, New Hampshire, Washington D.C., Colorado and Belarus, Bermuda, and Mexico. In addition, the Linden Hill community welcomes Mr. David Tuttle as the Associate Headmaster for Institutional Advancement and Mr. Mark Jackson as the Director of Programs. The afternoon concluded with Mr. Walter Sanieski, Assistant Headmaster, leading the boys on our traditional hike up Mt. Sugarloaf. From the summit, Linden Hill boys enjoyed a gorgeous view of the Pioneer Valley and the natural beauty where they will call home. |
