Planned GiftsIncluding Linden Hill in your estate plan is an easy and effective way to set aside funds for the school and for your heirs. The George and Penny Hayes Society, named after the founders of the school, recognizes those individuals who have generously included Linden Hill in their estate plans. There are several ways to structure a planned gift and bequest to the school: An Outright Bequest – includes a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate or an asset (securities, life insurance policy, or real estate). A Residuary Bequest – provides the school with a percentage of the remainder of your estate after all your expenses have been paid and after all other amounts bequeathed to your beneficiaries have been completed. A Contingent Bequest – designates members of your family and provides for them first. Linden Hill is then given a portion of your estate only if the designated beneficiary(s) predecease you. Trusts are another planned giving option that some donors choose. Discuss bequests and trusts with your estate planner for the best advice.
