Alumni NewsRichard Campbell is doing well in Bermuda. He is teaching physical education and technology. Richard is married to Kelly and their son Lucien is soon to be 5 years old. Viren Hotchandani is doing well and is busy attending Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida. Rick (now Richard) Weber '84 is living in Irvine, CA. He and his wife Shannon have been married for a year. Rick is working for a small data warehouse computer company, a subsidiary of Microsoft. He has fond memories of his time at Linden Hill among them, calisthenics led by Mr. Walter in the Hayes hallway while listening to classical music and still displays in his office his half hull boat made in woodshop class with Mr. Dorman. Proud mom Mary Jane White checked into to tell us her son Ruffin White-Magner '06 is doing great. He was the subject of a documentary film, RECOVERED, Journeys through the Autism Spectrum and Back, trailer at YouTube and the center for autism's website produced by Dr. Doreen Granspeesheh, the Autism Society of America's Professional of the Year. Ruffin is finishing his last year at St. John's Prep and planning to apply to college this fall: MIT, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Notre Dame, University of Iowa and Iowa State are on his list of schools. Brad Warrick and his wife are expecting their first child sometime in March. Kuo-Wei (Peter) Hung is a junior at Ferrum College in Ferrum, VA and hopes to pursue a career in theater. He plans on visiting with fellow alum Mike Tang next summer. Ricky Kraus '87 emailed to say the he is doing well in Boalsburg, PA. He says Hi to Mr. Walter all the staff and hopes to visit in the future. Jordan Finch is doing very well in Clayton, NC. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Historic Preservation, minoring in Architecture from Savannah College of Art and Design in '06. He has obtained his General Contractor's license and has put it to good use when renovating their historic family home The Dr. Watson Inn. Bill Gregory will be graduating with a Masters Degree in Global Governance and Diplomacy from Oxford University in June. James Butler is doing well in San Francisco working in the solar technology field and says that it's fun! Would love to hear from anyone. David Siegal emailed to say that he is a senior at the University of Pittsburgh. He is doing well and shared a who's who list of celebrities that he's met since leaving Linden Hill, among them former President Clinton, current hopeful Barack Obama and from the sports world Kobe Bryant, Sydney Crosby, Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz. Jason Riggs is serving in the Air Force having been deployed at Kandahar Air Base in Afghanistan. He will likely be relocated to Qatar. Andrew Ives is preparing for his third mideast tour of duty with the army. Pending his deployment he is spending as much time as possible with his 17 month old daughter Madison Lee Ann. Jason Brown continues to enjoy Denver with his wife and three daughters. He is a salesman for Ultimate Electronics in Highlands Ranch. Aaron W. Newton, a member of the first graduating class of Linden Hill is doing well in Prescott, AZ. Alex Mater '82 emailed to give an update of his life after Linden Hill. He is married and is living near Houston, Texas. Having spent nearly ten years of his life as a paramedic, he changed careers and is now working for Union Pacific Railroad as a Locomotive Engineer. He recently found himself reminiscing of all the good times he had while at Linden Hill spurred on by images of the campus supplied by "Google Earth." Jay Runte ‘92 was in touch. He is the Project Manager for Northwest Youth Corps in Eugene, Oregon and will complete his degree in Parks and Recreation Management in May. He and his new wife Liz (they were married at Sugar Bowl Ski Resort in August 2006) are well. She is also in school studying Human Resources Management through Indiana State University online. They have added another dog to their family, a golden retriever puppy who’s an absolute terror but also a great friend. Michael Elrod '87 emailed to say that all is well and that he has three wonderful boys Taylor 10, Gage 6, and Hayden 3 and a wonderful wife who can spell. He still keeps in touch with Robert Carson '87. Michael is the south Texas Area Manager for a medical supply company (Lincare) and oversees some 80 employees. He remembers fondly his days at LHS and looks forward to visiting the school this fall or at the next event. Andrew Lapeyre '78 wrote to say that his family is well and his daughters (age 7) are doing fine in their school Ecole Bilingue. The family is hoping to return to their home in New Orleans after renovations are completed later this year. He hopes to return to LHS some day but in the meantime wishes the school well. Alvaro Maldonado '63 corresponded a while back but was pleased to hear everything was fine at the school! Three of his four children are out of college and the last must now be a sophomore. He is healthy and "growing old but still growing up" in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Recent grads Mahmoud Alireza ‘06 and James Greblick ‘06 have graduated from Landmark School.
